Prince Wein is one intelligent and fearsome individual, given that he’s just lazy to do his royal duties. As much as Wein finds ways to tackle the problem, he always gets into more situations that call for trouble.
Wein faces an unexpected turn of events as he tries to raise his kingdom out of debt. What is Wein planning to do as he counters Caldmellia’s interfering plans? This episode lifted Falayna’s character a lot which was portrayed well.
In the next episode, Wein will strategically talk with Caldmellia and King Gruyere on the outcome of the events. Will this talk provoke Caldmellia or make her rethink her plans?

Episode 9 Recap
This episode starts with Wein finding out that he barged into Falanya’s marriage proposal. Trying to comprehend the situation, he goes along with the proposal. Wein adds that the occasion is a delight since Lowa considered marrying him.
When Demetrio realizes Lowa will get wedded to Wein, he feels absurd. Wein then states this matter will have to be discuses later, to which Demetrio agrees. Afterward, as Wein is concerned about the interference of Caldmellia in the plans, he gets lightheaded due to lack of rest.
With Wein stating not to be worried about her tiredness, Ninym says Lowa wants to meet secretly. Meeting Lowa, Wein finds out that the summit meeting doesn’t seem to be going the way she wants.
Lowa asks for Wein’s advice or thoughts which he jokes that she makes a stupid decision. Wein says he’ll lend a hand if he needs to for Lowa. Meanwhile, knowing Wein is in Mealtars, Prince Manfred plans to kill him as he can get in the way to claim the throne.
Wein meets with Demetrio the following day. When Wein is served tea, he tells the server to taste the tea out of suspicion. Demetrio, humored by Wein’s act, drinks the tea to assure it is not poisoned.
The prince surprisingly gets poisoned, which causes a stir of unfortunate events in Mealtars. Bardloche and Manfred surround Mealtars with their troops since they think it was an assassination attempt.
Later, Wein gets news that Caldmellia and the Levetian’s army have gathered at the city’s border, which makes Wein annoyed. As Wein tries to figure out the situation with the Mealtars, the Princes of the Empire, and the Levetains, he faints due to exhaustion.
Later, Falanya realizes what she must do to help her brother and approaches the Citizens Assembly. She then speaks on how Mealtars is a place where people work together to overcome any obstacles.
When Wein wakes up, he gets an update on the situation and plans to utilize Falanya’s influence to encourage the townspeople. Following Weins plans, Falanya leads the people of Mealtars out of the city to a better future after encouraging them.
Caldmellia is surprised by the turnover of people they wanted to save and dumbstruck. Wein then appears where Caldmellia and King Gruyere of Soljest are and says he will gladly help solve their troubles.
