PC gamers looking to dive into Yakuza 6: The Song of Life will now have a clearer idea on whether their system is up to the task. While the game’s Steam page is not live yet, the game’s Microsoft Store page is. And from what we can see, it’s good news for anyone who’s run games based on Dragon Engine before.
Yakuza 6 is the final installment in the Kazuma Kiryu storyline to be released on PC in spite of the series sequel Yakuza: Like a Dragon being already available on PC for several months now. Subsequent to its release, the only Yakuza games left to come to PC will be the series spin-offs like Yakuza: Dead Souls, and Judgment.
However, the release of Yakuza 6 on PC means that the entire Kazuma Kiryu storyline is available on PC, so this would be the most opportune moment for PC gamers to get started on the series. If you’re finding the timeline a little confusing, we recommend starting with Yakuza 0.

About Yakuza 6: The Song of Life
Developed and published by Sega for PlayStation 4, Yakuza 6: The Song of Life is an action-adventure video game and the seventh main entry in the Yakuza series. It was released in Japan in December 2016.
Set in an open world environment, the game is played from a third-person perspective. It is similar to other Yakuza titles with exploration and arcade-style over-the-top combat mixed with ragdoll physics.
Yakuza 6 revolves around Kazuma Kiryu, who after spending three years in prison, finds out that his adoptive daughter Haruka has gone missing. On his path to discover the whereabouts of Haruka, Kiryu will find himself in a dark mess that involves Yakuza rivals, the Korean mafia, and the Chinese triads along the way.
