Alpha playtest of Ashes of Creation, a massive multiplayer online role-playing game, is set to roll out this year.
Developed by Intrepid Studios, Ashes of Creation is here to give giants like World of Warcraft and Final Fantasy XIV some cut-throat competition.
When it comes to MMORPG, we don’t hear many names except for a few. Ashes of Creation desires to change that by making a name for itself.
Going forward, the first alpha playtest is referred to as Alpha 1. It will be made accessible to Intrepid and Braver pack holders from December 18th to December 21st.
Furthermore, Intrepid Studios explained the pre-test by adding,
“The term “alpha” is a tricky one, and it typically has 2 meanings in gaming. The development meaning for alpha is a point in the process where we are ready to test the fundamental systems in their core form, without polish and without much of the content. Then, there is the external or “marketing” term for alpha. This is typically applied to Eastern-ported MMORPGs, when in fact that is a completed game being localized for a region, and not really indicative of a true development alpha. As you may know by now, game development has many stages – from the initial tech demos to the pre-production and pre-alpha states, then on to the alphas and betas and eventually launch.”
Alpha 1 will enable devs to get much valuable feedback through which they can fix bugs and polish the game up.
Therefore, after giving Ashes of Creation a much-desired boost, the game will enter its second pre-test from February 19 to February 22, precisely after two months.
From March 19th to March 26th, another pre-test will be held by the developers since the aim is to make the game as smooth as possible.
Then finally on April 6th, the proper Alpha One will go live and will remain unchanged till May 6th.
As of now, we do not know when Ashes of Creation will hit the market.
