The launch date for God of War: Ragnarok was announced on July 6. The announcement was to be made on June 30 but was postponed to the following week. Ragnarok will be arriving on November 9, 2022. Yes, it will be a Wednesday, and no, we don’t know why the unusual change.
Industry insider Jason Schreier cleared the air about the mysterious announcement delay for the release date of God of War: Ragnarok.
The sequel was originally scheduled to launch on November 11, 2022. However, it was pushed two days back to November 9. Apparently, this postponement was done for “logistical reasons,” not because of a date clash with Starfield.
Ragnarok and Starfield were planned for the same day, but the dates for both have changed. Starfield will now be coming to stores in early 2023, as told by Bethesda Studios.
A leaked game trailer showed the release date as November 11, leading fans to believe that Ragnarok was slated to launch on a Friday. Hence, the confusion.
There are no significant releases scheduled for November 9. The only games to be released around that time are Skull & Bones and Pokemon Scarlet & Violet, which will launch on November 8 and November 18, respectively.
Pre-orders for the game went live two days ago. God of War: Ragnarok will be available on Playstation 4 and 5.
