Kaisei Enomoto’s “A Herbivorous Dragon of 5,000 Years Gets Unfairly Villainized” light novel series was recently adapted into a Chinese-dubbed anime series. The Japanese dubbed version is set to arrive in the following month, as revealed by the new trailer.
On Saturday, the official website for the anime adaptation released a second trailer. The video disclosed three more cast members, along with the opening song for the series and the release date.
“A Herbivorous Dragon of 5000 Years…” will be released in Japanese on January 6, 2023.
The anime originally aired in Chinese on July 30, 2022, with Bilibili and Crunchyroll streaming the series. Studio LAN handled the animation, with Bilibili as the producer.
For the Japanese dub, the opening song is “Bokura wa Genius” by Shuka Saito, who will also voice the Water Saint.

“A Herbivorous Dragon of 5,000 Years Gets Unfairly Villainized” will air on AT-X, Tokyo MX, and BS Fuji channels on January 6 in Japanese.
The story has been compiled into three light novels. It narrates the story of a dragon who is not interested in devouring meat. One day, a girl arrives as a sacrifice, assuming he is an evil dragon. She hopes to get powers to defeat the Demon Lord in exchange for her soul.
The dragon lies to her so he can get away, but the girl gains powers. Now they journey together to defeat the Demon Lord.
