Hell’s Paradise: Jigokuraku Ep 3: Release Date, Speculations, Watch Online

Gabimaru reluctantly kills other convicts in episode 2 of Hell’s Paradise: Jigokuraku, titled “Screening and Choosing.”

It was an awesome episode with some cool moments and sick animation. Sagiri’s character was explored well in this episode, and I am absolutely hyped about what’s coming next. 

Gabimaru and the rest of the convicts were presented in front of the shogun, and the latter ordered the criminals to reduce their numbers, causing much bloodshed. Gabimaru did not favor this, but in the end, he had to kill others to survive.

1. Episode 3 Speculations

Sagiri, Gabimaru, and the rest of the convicts will reach the heavenly island in episode 3 of Hell’s Paradise: Jigokuraku.

The mayhem has just begun, and the situation will turn even more chaotic in episode 3. The convicts are not just going to sit around and listen to what the executioners will say. Instead, they will try to escape this hell in any way possible. 

Gabimaru will encounter some highly dangerous and weird beasts in the upcoming episode. It is good to see that the anime is trying to be as gory as the manga, and I hope they don’t boil it down because there is so much more action and blood coming our way. 

2. Episode 3 Release Date

Episode 3 of Hell’s Paradise: Jigokuraku will be released on Saturday, April 15, 2023. It is a weekly anime, and new episodes are released every Saturday.

No, episode 3 of Hell’s Paradise: Jigokuraku is not on break this week. The episode will be released as per scheduled. 

3. Episode 2 Recap

Ever since she saw her father deliver a painful death to a storyteller, Sagiri has always wanted to be like him. However, her fear and doubt have always caused the convicts pain, and her sword has got heavier with time. 

Gabimaru is presented before the shogun along with other dangerous criminals. The rules and details for the mission are laid out. They tell the criminals to remove their masks and show them a survivor recently returned from the island. 

One of the criminals is about to leave, thinking all this is nonsense, but is immediately beheaded. Shogun’s subordinates tell the criminals they will be accompanied by a monitor from the Yamada clan.

They will be immediately beheaded if they do anything wrong or try to escape. Before departing them, the shogun orders the criminals to reduce their numbers as there are not enough ships or Asaemons to accompany them. 

The place turns into a hell where every convict kills one another with their hands tied. Shogun is informed about all of the most dangerous criminals. Eizen, Sagiri’s senior, tells her not to get indulged in all this, as being an executioner doesn’t suit a woman. 

 

Sagiri thinks about her past and how her clan makes a living out of the dead. Sagiri is always looked down on for belonging to the clan and being a daughter of an executioner. 

However, instead of backing out, she takes up her father’s job and fights to prove herself. She slays three convicts right there who was trying to escape. She starts getting haunted by the dead.

Suddenly, Gabimaru interrupts her thoughts by going to the shogun and telling him that killing people even when you don’t want to is wrong and that what he is doing right now is not good. 

He tries to convince the shogun not to do this, but nobody is ready to listen. In the end, he unwantedly starts killing the ones who attack him, saying he doesn’t want to kill, but he can’t die either. 

Everyone is shocked to see his strength. Sagiri realizes that she doesn’t need to be fearless but has to have the resolve to live on with the burden of that fear. 

The remaining convicts are sent to the island along with their Asaemon companions.

Hell’s Paradise: Jigokuraku is a manga series by Yuji Kaku that ran from January 2018 to January 2021. It was serialized on Shueisha’s Shonen Jump+ website and app and has been collected into 13 volumes.

Gabimaru: The Hollow is a ninja assassin who is on death row. He feels nothing and can’t be killed due to his training as a shinobi. Yet, when he faces Asaemon Sagiri, he realizes his will to live and return to his wife.

He is assigned the task to find the elixir of life on a legendary island. The island kills any person sent to it. Will Gabimaru find the elixir and escape alive?
