Asty finds some vital information in episode 7 of Helck titled “The Human King.”
Azudra manages to restrain all of the Winged Knights and tries to interrogate them. A surprise attack from backup forces sends arrows, killing all of the Knights, and the squad leader reveals that they’ve all awakened the ability to resurrect.
In the base of the Human King, Asty finds all of the Winged Knights spawning at the foot of their leader. She relays the information to her sister and eavesdrops on their meetings.

2. Episode 8 Speculation
According to the intel from Asty, the next point of attack will be the Castle Thor. Everybody has already gone there to fortify its defenses and prepare for the counter-attack, but they will need Vermilio to ensure their victory.
Azudra’s message has been burned, so there’s only one way left for Vermilio to return. She needs to seek the Great Witch and find the directions to the Demonic Continent. The easier option may be to kill the Human King directly; Helck will likely suggest that.
3. Recap of Episode 7
Azudra takes advantage of the Empire’s terrain to hold all the Winged Knights and offers them mercy if they surrender. Isty senses another presence nearby, and an arrow fires through some of the tree’s roots.
Like last time, they kill all the Winged Knights instead of aiming at the demons. Under the King’s order, they had to evade capture at all costs and choose to kill themselves. The bodies float away into the sky to be resurrected again at the Kingdom.
Asty has managed to sneak into the Human King’s base and notifies Isty about everything she witnessed. Azudra realizes their main priority is fighting Vermilio since the humans will continue resurrecting and getting stronger every time.
Their only hope of winning is to kill the spellcaster behind the resurrection spell. Azudra had fought a hero many centuries ago who could revive thanks to the magic of the Human king. Using the information that Asty relayed, they must increase the defenses at Castle Thor.
Azudra visits the location of the gate to find any trace of magic. He opens a small portal through which he sends a letter along with a spindle pointing towards the Demon Continent. Vermilio is occupied with cooking and doesn’t notice anything else.
The little birdy with Helck helps them out with housework and food. On the way around the shore, it picks up the letter from Azudra and takes it back home. It accidentally throws it into the fire, and no one notices what happened.

Helck is a manga series written and illustrated by Nanaki Nanao. It was serialized online on Shogakukan’s Ura Sunday Website and MangaONE app from May 2014 to December 2017. It has been collected into 12 volumes.
A short spin-off manga titled Piwi: Fushigi na Ikimono was also released in 2018, with its chapters collected in one volume. Another prequel manga series, titled Völundio: Divergent Sword Saga is currently ongoing since its launch in August 2020.
