The outlandish social satire that is The White Lotus will be back on HBO for a second season.
As per HBO’s announcement, the second season will feature a brand-new cast in yet another White Lotus resort, location currently undisclosed. Showrunner Mike White has often spoken about shaping the show to be an anthological series and this is certainly the first step in that direction.
The White Lotus works for its dark contrast against the idyllic settings of a vacation paradise. So, a new cast and location make for a fresh introspection into some of the nuances explored in the first season.
And for those of you who’ve grown fond of Season 1’s characters, there’s always a chance that a few familiar faces would revisit the White Lotus resort in Season 2.
The six-episode limited series debuted on HBO on July 11, with the finale being served this Sunday, August 15.
HBO has also remarked that The White Lotus has performed extremely well, being at the number one position among all HBO Max series and steadily gathering TV and digital growth. You can hear it from Francesca Orsi, EVP Programming at HBO, himself.
Mike has once again delivered a quintessential HBO show, and it’s the talk of the town. We were thrilled to hear where he wanted to go next, after closing this epic chapter in Hawaii and can’t wait to keep following him wherever he takes us.

While the season finale will hopefully answer a lot of pending questions from Season 1, the renewal announcement has left us with more: Who will be added to the new cast? When will The White Lotus Season 2 air? Where will the new resort be located? And, how exactly do we check-in?
Stay tuned!
