Been naughty or nice? Doesn’t matter! Hawkeye is planning to reward you with two back-to-back premiere episodes this holiday season.
Hawkeye is set to debut on November 24, which now makes it a one-month odd wait for fans. In the latest trailer, it has been revealed that the show will premiere both Episode 1 and 2 on the same day!
The trailer is filled with a few new snippets from the show, with both Hawkeyes fighting off the bad guys Die Hard style.
After the initial two-episode release, the show will air one episode every Wednesday. Its six-episode run will end on December 22.
The reason behind this decision is unknown. But other than giving us a little treat, fans have also observed that the original Hawkeye finale date of December 29 clashed with Disney’s release of The Mandalorian spin-off The Book of Boba Fett.
Plus, the shift of dates is a good decision as it will make for a Marvel-filled week with Spider-Man: No Way Home releasing only a few days before Hawkeye’s December 22 finale.
Another plausible reason points to the fact that Disney’s next Marvel series, Ms Marvel, was supposed to debut in 2021 but was delayed due to the number of Marvel projects already airing this year. Perhaps, Hawkeye finishing up a week early could have something to do with Ms Marvel’s early 2022 premiere.
Hawkeye’s primary story will show how Clint passes on his title to Kate, but it will also set up room for other development.
For example, we might get hints on how Kate’s Hawkeye will appear in any upcoming movies, have a gateway to an Echo (Alaqua Cox) spin-off, and find out if Eleanor Bishop (Kate’s mom) is the true villain of the show.
There is a lot in store for Hawkeye. It is truly the gift the keeps giving!
