Saitou continues his new adventuring life in episode 2 of Handyman Saitou in Another World, titled “What Saitou Can Do”. Saitou comes through again, killing and then cooking a hydra eel. More new characters are introduced, including a party of an elf named Franlil and a human priest named Ninia, as well as the king who makes friends with the demon king and hires him in his castle.
Saitou learns about Lafanpan’s distressing origins and tries to help as much as possible. Saitou and Raelza get caught in a trap and transported near an iron golem. He almost loses his life, but Raelza helps him by administering a rare medicinal potion.

Episode 3 Speculation
Saitou has grown closer to his new teammates, and his new life continues, though not without mishaps here and there. Still, he cherishes his life in this world. Due to the episodic nature of the series, we are also likely to see more new characters in the world. Saitou and his party might also meet these characters soon on their journey.
We may also get a backstory on either Morlock or Raelza next episode since they are pretty much a mystery as of now. The shenanigans will continue with a sprinkle of heartfelt moments.

Episode 2 Recap
Saitou and the rest of the party fight a huge hydra eel. Raelza is out of commission due to her fear of slimy creatures. After killing it, Saitou goes to Mevena to buy some needles that are usually used by assassins. For some reason, Mevena is sure that Saitou is buying them to kill Raelza.
Saitou cleans and prepares the monster they hunted to make unagi. Although they are apprehensive about trying it initially, Morlock and Lafanpan eat it and are delighted by the taste. It takes more convincing for Raelza, but once she tastes it, she can’t stop either.
Saitou describes how there are different types of traps in treasure chests. While dismantling the trap on one of the chests, he accidentally triggers it. A legendary slime monster that only eats metal, drops on Raelza and dissolves her armor.
A new party with an elf named Franlil and a human priest named Ninia is introduced. The elf doesn’t have an aptitude for magic and is instead a warrior who uses martial arts. The priest heals her wounds and she is happy about it.
Ninia uses her support magic and healing to aid Franlil. However, in reality, she likes seeing the wounds on the elf’s body due to her blood fetish and believes that every time she uses her magic on the wounds, Franlil becomes hers.
The king puts up a notice calling for heroes to defeat the demon king. However, no one shows up and he goes himself, putting the minister in charge. A few soldiers rebel in the absence of the king, asking for the key to the treasury. But the minister excels at petrification magic and turns them all into stone.
Instead of killing the demon king, the king brings his decapitated but still-living head back and makes friends with him. He gives him armor with a mask of a human so that he can live in his castle. The demon king tells the king that he can run away this way, but he is not worried about it.
Raelza tells Saitou why Lafanpan is so obsessed with money. She secretly takes him to see Lafanpan and tells him that she is a moonlight fairy, a race that the moon goddess has cursed. As such, she has to offer gold coins on the full moon, or else her body shrinks.
The curse comes from a past issue that isn’t related to Lafanpan personally. Saitou asks Raelza to give her his share of the money, but she tells him that Lafanpan is too prideful for that.
Saitou comes up with an idea and tells Lafanpan to cast a blessing on him whenever he opens a chest, in exchange for which he gives her a gold coin. He opens the chest, and they realize too late that it’s a trap that transports Saitou and Raelza deep underground.
A huge iron golem attacks them, and Raelza fights it to buy Saitou time to escape.
Saitou, however, remembers his past life where he was quite adept at a lot of things but not an expert in any, which made him a replaceable handyman.
Thus, he was happy to be transported to a world where people valued his skills. He climbs on the golem and uses the same slime from earlier to weaken it so that Raelza can kill it. His ribs are crushed in the process and his life flashes before his eyes.
Raelza panics about how to save him since Morlock and Lafanpan aren’t there with them to heal him. She uses drops of life, a rare medicine given to her by Morlock, on Saitou. Thankfully, he wakes up and finds Lafanpan and Morlock have caught up to them as well.

Handyman Saitō in Another World (Benriya Saitō-san, Isekai ni Iku) is an isekai manga series by Kazutomo Ichitomo. It has been serialized online via Kadokawa Shoten’s ComicWalker website since October 2018 and is receiving an anime adaptation.
