My Next Life as a Villainess season 2, episode 3, titled “I Was Captured…” was released this week.

Last we saw, Catarina helped with Sophia’s play and improvised, making it a big hit. Unfortunately, later that night, Catarina was drugged and kidnapped as she was heading to the party celebrating the end of the festival.

Catarina woke up in a mansion at an unknown location. Later Selena came forward and told her that she was the one who planned the kidnapping for Ian’s sake. However, Rufus revealed that he has been controlling Selena all this time.

Episode 4 Speculations and Discussions

No preview is available at the end of episode 3.

With that sudden cliffhanger, everyone is eager to see how the story unfolds. 

Rufus revealed his true colors and admitted to having controlled Selena to take the fall for Catarina’s kidnapping.

However, I’m sure Catarina will find a way to get herself out of this situation. Obviously, she will have to sit down and talk to Rufus and uncover his true intentions. Once she gets to know that, I hope she acts quickly and outsmarts him. 

I personally think that Jeffrey has a considerable part to play in this as it is a battle for the throne, and he wants to eliminate any threat to his claim.

Episode 4 Release Date

Episode 4 of the My Next Life as a Villainess season 2 anime has been released on Saturday, Jul 24, 2021. The episode title or preview has not been shown.

No, My Next Life as a Villainess anime is not on break this week. Episode 4 of the second season will air just as scheduled. No delay has been announced. 

Recap of Episode 3

Episode 3, titled “ I Was Captured…” starts off with Catarina waking up in a random mansion in the middle of nowhere.

Catarina is greeted by a maid who introduces herself as Lana. She tells her how she is ready to tend to her every need. However, Catarina states how she already has a maid, Anne. 

Catarina proceeds to ask Lana multiple questions, to which Lana says that she is forbidden to answer them. 

Just then, someone knocks on the door, and a butler comes in, with Selena following him. Selene is glad to see that Catarina is safe.

Just as Selena is about to reveal the intention behind the kidnapping to Catarina, the butler, Rufus tells her to go back to her room. She readily agrees as he hypnotizes her.

Later, when they get together for dinner, Catarina again asks Selena why she is kidnapped and where they are currently. As Selena is about to answer, Rufus butts in again and hypnotizes her, telling her to go to bed. 

However, when Catarina is sleeping soundly at night, Selena goes to her room and wakes Catarina up to tell her everything. 

Selena admits to having planned her kidnapping. She mentions how she did it for the sake of her fiance, Ian, and intends to use her to blackmail Geordo to revoke his claim to the throne. All this just, so Ian has more of a chance to win.

Catarina tells her that she does not need to go so far for Ian and should just talk to him and ask him how he feels. Selena is moved by her sincerity and immediately plans to end this kidnapping by sending her home.

The episode, however, ends with Rufus showing his true colors and sedating Selena. He then tells Catarina how he plans on making Ian and Selena take the fall for Catarina’s kidnapping.
