343 Industries announces Halo Infinite’s month-long The Yappening 2 event

343 Industries recently added the Easy Anti-Cheat System to Halo Infinite. This is just one of the several new updates introduced in the past few weeks. According to sources, the developers have more such plans in store to make Halo Infinite better than before.

In a new tweet by 343 Industries, Halo Infinite will kick off The Yappening 2 on April 2nd. The upcoming event will feature new customizations for Mark VII armor and a new Corrosion arena map later this month.

Players can grab a free Operation Pass to claim 20 tiers of rewards including the Glibnub Special and Abundant Growth armor coatings, the Load Bearing shoulder pad, and the Yapster and Gruntball charms. If you choose to purchase the Premium Pass, you will instantly receive the Glibnub’s Golden Guns weapon coating as a bonus.

The Yappening 2 will also feature Gruntpocalypse in Firefight PvE mode where you will face off Grunt enemies across multiple rounds. However, the gameplay will be different than what played out in Halo Reach.

Apart from the new content, the in-game shop in Halo Infinite is also getting fresh stock of premium items. Watch out for the Boggart armor kit and a Conqueror shop bundle.

While The Yappening 2 ends on April 30th, you can still work your way to earn remaining rewards even after the event has ended. According to the current Operation Pass system, players who buy the Premium Pass can still claim new gear after April 30.

343 Industries is yet to reveal the complete details of The Yappening 2. Most likely, you can expect a blog post over at Halo Waypoint soon. The month-long event will add a ton of new and exciting content to Halo Infinite. Keep in mind, we are just a few months into 2024.
