Despite having many delays and a pushed release date well into 2021, not all rumors about the new Halo Infinite are bad.
A recent post on Reddit has provided inside information that has the potential to increase fan support and interest. Not only do the rumors confirm an early game release but they also give insight about the roadmap of the game after it hits the stores.
The user u/Infinite2021yup claims to be working for a QA company in Europe that has been tasked to test the multiplayer mode in Halo Infinite. If the Reddit post is to be believed, many of the features such as the Pit and the Battle Pass system will be returning among many other new features.
The leak also details information about a new grappling hook system which we first saw in the reveal trailer last year. Not only will players be able to use the grappling system to travel across the map but also to pull in utilities such as weapons, flags, and even players!
There’s More in the Halo Infinite Leak like:
- 4v4 competitive mode
- Flag-juggling is back.
- New medals.
- The matchmaking “social” ranking is based on military ranks from Halo 3, and competitive is based on Halo 5.
- Jeff Steitzer is back for multiplayer.
- Weapons tested:
- DMR
- BR
- Assault Rifle
- Bulldog
- Plasma Rifle
- Plasma Pistol
- Redesigned “sticky detonator” from Halo 4
- Sword
Like with other leaks, all information must be taken with a grain of salt. Even though QA testers have firsthand experience with the gam, they do not actually have future roadmaps and it is certain they are not supposed to speak about their work before the actual release.
There have been many past rumors and the studio and developers have been quick to shut them down. Only time will tell how many of these new leaks are actually true.
