Police in a Pod is indeed a hilarious portrayal of a police officer’s challenging routine and adulthood. Miko Yasu captured the essence of being in a line of work that requires so much sacrifice of your energy, and she did a great job at that.
However, all great stories come to an end, and this time it is Hakozume’s turn. It’s a great manga and has made many staunch fans and whatnot, but stretching it for long will only make it stale.
Miko Yasu has announced that she will be concluding the Police in a Pod manga’s first part. The final chapter will come out on June 16 in Kodansha’s Morning magazine’s issue 29.
The manga recently got made into an anime that the weeb community absolutely loves. Everything is immaculate, from its story and characters to comedy and action.
Moreover, Yasu also mentioned that the manga would be going on a hiatus as she’ll start working on her new story. She has big plans for her upcoming work and also teased its premise.
Unlike Hakozume, her new manga will feature a male protagonist with a sword and be set in one of Japan’s historical eras. Yasu has already done wonders with the police, and I can’t wait to see what she does with this probable samurai plot.
Do not fret for Hakozume’s end, as it’s just the first part concluding. That means we have so much more to look forward to, like a fresh storyline and new characters.
Meanwhile, Yasu’s new manga also looks promising because who doesn’t like samurai?
