3. Episode 24 Recap
Suna lands a spike and ties the scoreboard once more. He notices that Atsumu’s senses are getting more and more accurate as the match progresses.
Shinsuke explains that Atsumu is like a monster who loves volleyball everyday. He fights against his opponents from the other side of the net.
Atsumu serves with a jump float that goes directly to Daichi. Despite his best effort, Daichi fails to receive it. Thereby resulting in a match point for team Inarizaki.
In his second serve, Atsumu sends a powerful spike, and this time, Daichi manages to dig it out. Kageyama rushes to compensate for his previous mistake and sets the ball to Hinata, who lands a successful spike.
Hinata is up next to serve, and Inarizaki fans feel a sense of relief when he lands a weak serve. Suna rushes to make the most out of this and tries to land a powerful spike.
Tsukishima knows that he won’t manage to block it, so he jumps to direct the spike, putting all his faith in Hinata.
Hinata once again makes a perfect receive, and Karasuno counters with a synchronized back minus. Surprisingly, Akagi received Asahi’s powerful spike because the blockers were positioned in a way that forces Asahi to spike directly to the libero.
Tsukishima is getting frustrated at how his body is starting to fall behind his mind and barely manages for a one-touch. Daichi somehow keeps the ball from falling over.
Kageyama sets the ball towards Asahi, who patiently waits for the blockers to descend a little and then delivers a powerful block-out that sends the ball into the crowd before Akagi can save it.
Hinata makes his second serve, and Aran receives it quite comfortably. Atsumu uses Osamu as a decoy to distract Karasuno and sets the ball towards Suna Rintaro, who scores from it.
Shortly, Ojiro Aran scores another spike through Karasuno’s triple block, putting Inarizaki back at match point.
Asahi receives Osamu’s serve, and Kageyama ties the score with a successful setter dump, similar to what Kenma of Nekoma high does. Karasuno needs just one more point to win.
Tsukishima’s weak serve narrowly goes into Inarizaki’s territory, and Aran barely manages to save it. Ginjima gets the last hit over, but Tsukishima receives it.
Meanwhile, Ukai keeps urging them to slow down. However, his words weren’t of much use as Daichi receives Aran’s spike, and Kageyama immediately sets it to Tanaka.
Hinata slows down the pace by sending the first touch high into the air. This gave Karasuno enough time to settle down, and they attempt a synchronized attack for one last time.
Tanaka spike gets blocked by Omimi, and the ball flies towards the back of the court, where Tsukishima makes a desperate dive to reach it.
Daichi narrowly manages to reach it in time, sending the ball back to Inarizaki. Miya twins make a huge gamble and try their minus tempo quick attack.
Although their timing was perfect, Atsumu’s spike gets blocked by Hinata and Kageyama, leading Karasuno high to victory.
