The first episode of the anime project features Zaiyuki, a young kappa (Japanese mythological creature) who doesn’t behave like one: he can’t swim, always loses sumo bouts, and despises cucumbers. He attempts to prove his value as a kappa by entering a lottery and earning the big reward of a package trip to India. But the problem begins as soon as he lands at the airport.
Split 2/2. I am working on an original animation.

Meanwhile, Murata’s other significant work is his collaboration with writer Riichiro Inagaki on the American football novel Eyeshield 21, which was well-received by fans. The new anime by Murata is sure to be a huge success.
