After seven years, Gundam has given us its first female protagonist in its brand new anime series. Naturally, everyone is going out of their minds.
The franchise revealed a prologue series for the upcoming anime and it’s like Christmas came early this year for Gundam lovers.
I know I’m hyping this up too much, but after watching Gundam: The Witch From Mercury’s latest trailer, even you’ll join me in this cause. Do mark your calendars for the anime’s release in October 2022.

The video gives a much-needed preview of the famous Asticassia School of Technology, where Gundam pilots and scientists are trained. Suletta Mercury transfers to Asticassia from the planet Mercury with the dream of piloting a Gundam.
Later we get a glimpse of all the new characters we’ll be seeing in the series, followed by some really intense and hair-raising Gundam battles.

Most of them are parents of the characters in the main series. Like Delling Rembran is Miorine’s father, Vim Jeturk is Guel’s father, and so on.
Generally, prequels are pretty sad and end on a tragic note, but I have a feeling it won’t be the same for this one.
I’m super pumped to see what the prologue leads to and how the main series will turn out to be.

Mobile Suit Gundam: The Witch from Mercury (Kidō Senshi Gundam: Suisei no Majo) is an upcoming mecha anime series and the fifteenth mainline entry in Sunrise’s long-running Gundam franchise, succeeding Mobile Suit Gundam: Iron-Blooded Orphans. It will premiere in October 2022.
The story follows Suletta Mercury who has transfered to the Asticassia School of Technology from the planet Mercury. She dreams of becoming a Gundam pilot and navigates her way through this new world.
