Survival Horror game Silent Hill 2 Remake takes you on an adventure filled with puzzles and mysteries. The difficulty of the puzzles ranges from moderately easy to hard, and the coin puzzle is an example.
The coin puzzle at the Wood Side Apartments in Silent Hill 2 focuses on obtaining the three coins you will need to solve the primary puzzle found in the apartment building lobby.
1. How to solve the coin puzzle in Silent Hill 2 Remake?
Players need to find three coins: the Man/Sword Coin, the Woman/Grave Coin, and the Flower/Snake Coin to solve the coin puzzle in Silent Hill 2 Remake. Once they have the coins, they must arrange them in a specific order in the coin cabinet based on the riddles provided.
There are three riddles and the solutions to each of them are given below-
- First Riddle: The Coin with the man will be on the left side, the Coin with the flower on the right, and the Coin with the woman in the middle.
- Second Riddle: Place the Silver Man in the second hole from the left and turn over to reveal the sword. Put the Gold Woman in the second hole from the right. Finally, place the Bronze Sunflower in the right-most hole.
- Third Riddle: Place the Silver Man in the center hole. Put the Gold Gravestone in the second hole from the right. Put the Bronze Snake in the right-most hole.
1.1 Rewards
The Coin Puzzle rewards you with the Room 201 Key, which opens Room 201 in the Wood Side Apartments and provides access to the Blue Creek Apartments.
2. Location of all the Coins
2.1 Man/ Sword Coin
To get the Man Coin, go to apartment 108 and find the Golden Apple Handle. Then, go to apartment 208, use the handle on a cupboard, and move it to reveal a passage. Solve a puzzle in apartment 206 with the solutions Right 13, Left 7, and Right 11 to open the safe and get the Man/Sword Coin.
2.2 Woman/ Grave Coin
After obtaining the Man/Sword Coin in Room 205, enter Room 205 to get the 2F Small Staircase Key on a chair. Then, unlock the door to the stairway next to Room 215 and you’ll find a save point on the left wall.
On the third floor, go to Room 311 and squeeze through a narrow opening to enter. Exit through a breakable wall to enter Room 309, then cross to Room 310. Cross over to Room 312 through the balcony and crawl through a small vent behind the wall with a Sinister Note. Pick up the Canned Juice and interact with a disposal chute nearby.
Use the nearby stairwell to descend to Wood Side Apartments 1F. The Woman/Grave Coin is between Room 112 and Room 105 in the open area.
2.3 Flower/ Snake Coin
After getting the Woman Coin, return to the hallway and go left to apartment 116. Watch a cutscene, meet Eddie, then jump out the window to face Lying Figure enemies in the pool area. Use your weapons and drop into the pool. Then, check the red stroller to find the Snake Coin.
3. About Silent Hill 2 Remake
Silent Hill 2 Remake is an upcoming survival horror video game developed by Bloober Team and published by Konami. The game is set to be released on PlayStation 5 and Windows on 8th October, 2024.
It is a remake of the 2001 video game of the same name and will be the first major installment in the Silent Hill franchise since Silent Hill: Downpour in 2012.
