While the much-awaited announcement of GTA 6 was an oasis of satisfaction for enthusiasts, it did not dive into any concrete details. Fans waited for this confirmation for over nine years just to find out the worst-kept secret of the gaming industry – “the next entry in the Grand Theft Auto series is well underway.”
So as it seems, relying on leakers is the only way to find out more information about the upcoming open-world mafia title and satiate our hunger. With that being said, one particular industry insider has made some pretty bold claims about GTA 6 that will surely have you licking your lips.
As revealed by analyst Michael Pachter on SFTD Games’ YouTube channel, GTA 6 will reportedly house multiple cities and offer humongous gameplay of about 500 hours.
Pachter believes that the title will feature numerous real and fictional locations like Vice City, Liberty City, San Andreas, and London on top of other significant portions of Europe. Owing to this gigantic scale, the leaker expects GTA 6 to provide about 400 to 500 hours of gameplay.
“It’ll probably be literally a four or five hundred hour game by the time they get it out. That’s what they are doing now, that’s what they’ve turned GTA VI into. I get it because they’re like, we’re gonna charge you 60 bucks and then we’re going to give you an online experience, and you’re going to have to carry drugs from London to LA, you’re going to have to go through the port in Miami.” said Pachter.
The gaming analyst didn’t stop here and further added that GTA 6 is a 10-year project that has been in development since 2014. If his words are anything to live by, we’ll have to wait for two more years to get our hands on this long-awaited game.
But then again, Rockstar is yet to comment on any news regarding GTA 6, and the industry insider in question is not the most credible source out there either. Therefore, we’d suggest that you take everything with a pinch of salt and proceed with cautious optimism.
