It isn’t uncommon for video games to receive anime adaptations. Games with well-written plot-lines and already developed characters make it easier to produce a successful anime.
Once these anime are popular enough, they usually receive spinoffs by various authors.
Spinoff animes like Attack On Titan: Junior High, Isekai Quartet, and Umayon have been comedic spinoffs often adapted from 4-Koma mangas.
These spinoffs feature characters in different avatars doing things they usually won’t.
Guraburu! The spinoff anime to the Granblue Fantasy franchise had previously released a PV in April, confirming its broadcasting decision.
At the time of the announcement, it was unclear whether it will be an anime or a different format. Some of the staff members were also announced,
- Original work: Hitomoji Kiku
- Production: Cygames
