Gran Turismo 7 was initially slated to release in March 2022, but rumors spread by an ever-reliable leaker made us think otherwise. Tom Henderson claimed on Twitter that GT7 would not be seeing the light of the day due to delays, along with other much-anticipated titles expected in March.
Needless to say, this piece of tittle-tattle led many to disappointment.
Given that GT7 promises to deliver the best ever racing simulation experience that’s loaded with real-time ray tracing, 3D special audio, 4K resolution, 60 fps, and HDR support, who wouldn’t be counting the days until they get a taste of it?
But then again, unofficial things circulating the internet should always be taken with a pinch of salt, and a new video trailer that surfaced online on January 27 just reminded us of that. What am I talking about?
Gran Turismo 7’s recent “Find Your Line: Lose Yourself” ad is a short video of 36 seconds highlighting the DualSense adaptive triggers and enhanced visuals of the title on PS5. Upon approaching its end, the trailer put rumors of delay to rest and reiterated the game’s release date to be March 4.
Now that any gossip about the potential delays of Gran Turismo 7 is six feet under, it’s time for enthusiasts to heave a sigh of relief and board the train of excitement once again.
Just remember that in order to play this PS exclusive racing game, you will have to clear up a lot of space from your console. As revealed by PlayStation Direct, the official preorder page, Gran Turismo 7 will demand 110GB of storage space at the very least on both the PS4 and PS5.
But then again, this is a painless sacrifice to make. With Gran Turismo 7 claiming to have “over 420 car models with the highest quality ever,” why let storage get in the way of an adrenaline-filled, thrilling experience?
