CW’s new DC TV show Gotham Knights is due this year in March, and we have some new details about the show’s central plot – the dark mystery behind Bruce Wayne’s murder. A new video from the production team highlights Gotham City’s loss and how it came to be, teasing a shocking reveal surrounding the Bat’s death.
The show is centered around Batman’s murder and how Misha Collins’ Harvey Dent brings in Wayne’s adopted son, Turner Hayes, and a few of the Bat’s notorious enemies as suspects. Turner and his unseemly team will have to rise against the law and the villains to solve the mystery and restore hope to Gotham.
In a video shared by Gotham Knights Updates on Twitter, the production team details how the show will “unspool the murder” of Bruce Wayne and the reason behind his murder “will shock and surprise.” Check out the full video below:
The video also discussed Gotham Knights bringing new hope to Gotham City after Batman’s murder and how the show will introduce new DC characters. We’ve already seen a few hints of the live-action Two-Face and a female Robin and we can’t wait to see what other surprises the show has in store for us.
The show is a new start for the CW after the cancellation of all Arrowverse shows, save The Flash, which will end with the upcoming season 9. Gotham Knights will not be connected to the Arrowverse, giving the show a fresh outlook from the other DC shows on CW.
Other details of the show are hard to come by, but we’re excited to see the dark vibe of the show and how the show deals with Batman’s murder.
