Golden Braid Talisman in Elden Ring Shadow of the Erdtree- How to get it?

Elden Ring has several talismans with unique abilities. However, the Shadow of the Erdtree DLC brings some more new additions to the game. Among them is a powerful talisman, the Golden Braid Talisman, which is similar to or a better version of the Haligdrake Talisman.

The Golden Braid Talisman provides resistance to Holy damage and can be a must-have if you plan to take down the final boss. But getting it can be really frustrating and time-consuming, as it’s hidden in a secret place. 

1. How to get the Golden Braid Talisman in Elden Ring DLC?

Players can find the Golden Braid Talisman at the Shaman Village, north of the Church District Highroad site of Grace in Elden Ring DLC. The talisman is held by a statue at the root of a tree on the edge of the southern cliff. 

The Golden Braid increases resistance to holy damage by 22%, providing a defensive advantage, particularly useful when facing foes who use holy damage. This item can greatly benefit players, especially in the final boss fight against Radahn. 

2. How to reach the Shaman Village and find the Golden Braid Talisman?

Shaman Village is located just east of the Hinterland Site of Grace in Scaduview. To access Hinterland, you must use the O Mother Gesture in front of the Queen Marika statue in the Shadow Keep, Back Gate Site of Grace. The O Mother Gesture can be found in front of a headless statue in the north of the Bonny Village.

After using the the O Mother Gesture a path will open to the Scaduview region. Head southeast from the Site of Grace. You can ignore or kill the Tree Sentinel on the way. Follow the rocky slope to reach the Shaman Village.

Next, check the rugged black tree to the south of the town. The Golden Braid Talisman is placed right on the lap of a statue at the tree’s root.
