Goku, the undefeatable hero of the Dragon Ball series, has achieved yet another feat. Dragon Ball Super’s chapter 66 shows Goku finally defeating Moro, the arch-villain.
He does so with the help of a new form. So, what exactly, is this new form?
It took around 24 chapters in total to bring down Moro. His power of absorption put him at the pinnacle of strength and destruction. Goku had to surpass his limits and achieve an entirely new form to defeat him.
As chapter 66 starts, Moro begins to go berserk while absorbing the energy of every creature on Earth. Because of Goku’s kindheartedness, Moro was able to absorb the power of Merus, an angel.
However, Moro is not used to the energy of the Gods and it merges with the Earth.
Moro has lost control, and if he bursts, the blast will take not only Earth but the entire galaxy with it. This tells Goku that the only way to stop this disaster is by smashing the crystal on Moro’s forehead.
Vegeta helps Goku by stripping off Moro’s energy, while Goku tries to attack in his Ultra Instinct mode. However, Vegeta and Goku’s energy gets drained, and Goku loses his Ultra Instinct Perfected form.
Even the energies of Piccolo, Vegeta, Goten, and all of their allies together doesn’t amount to much. Oob comes to their rescue as he sends his chi to Goku.
Since he is the reincarnation of the Evil Boo, his power helps Goku achieve a new form.
The form that Goku obtains is very similar to the Great Ape transformation he used to undergo.
After tackling Moro in this new form, he launches his actual body towards Moro’s crystal and manages to break it. This causes Moro to blow up in debris, but everything else stays seemingly unharmed.
Goku’s new form remains unnamed in chapter 66. However, he was only able to achieve this state due to the extra power from Oob.
We are yet to see if Goku can manifest this giant form on his own. We can easily bet that this massive form will be making a future appearance.
Goku will definitely train enough to attain the giant form as a stable power that he can achieve on will without external help!
