Jujutsu Kaisen has had its fans on an emotional rollercoaster for quite a while now. After Sukuna was beaten in the most anti-climatic way possible, fans were left wishing for Gojo’s return to the manga due to all the hints that were dropped in the previous chapter.
The new leaks of Jujutsu Kaisen’s latest chapter revealed the manga’s conclusion. This rather unbefitting conclusion of the manga should answer a ton of fans’ questions about the story and mostly about Gojo. This article will go into the details of the spoilers of the final chapter of Jujutsu Kaisen.
Yuuji, Megumi, and Nobara’s Mission
The previous chapter dealt with a certain mission that Yuuji and co. were on. The mysterious curse user who had the ability to alter people’s faces was on the loose, and he was allegedly stalking a woman. The gang was trying to get to the bottom of this mystery.
Since no signs of cursed technique could be detected around the woman, the three were pondering about how far the caster was and how he was using his technique. Yuuji and Nobara wanted to go somewhere far to see if the technique would wear off. Megumi was seemingly against this; however, he went with a similar plan where all of them went to building outside the cursed technique’s range.
When the woman went into the building’s elevator, she was shocked to see that her husband’s face turned back to normal. It was at this point that they suddenly felt the presence of the caster. So Yuuji and Nobara tailed him, only to get their face disfigured as well. No worries though, because Megumi immediately stepped in and had the perpetrator restrained.
After the stalker was apprehended, Yuuji had a bit of a conversation with the man. He told him that he wouldn’t get executed or anything, so all he had to do was reflect for a while, and then, if he was up to it, he could join Yuuji to fight curses. This conversation reminded Yuuji of a conversation he had previously had with his teacher, Gojo.
The conversation was eerie, as we got to see an odd sight were Gojo was being sentimental. He spoke of how at least one of his students would eventually forget about him on their journey to become strong. After Yuuji reassured Gojo by saying that no one would ever forget him, Gojo told Yuuji that he was expecting great things from him.
Sukuna’s and Mahito’s Interaction
After this scene closed, we got to see a surprising interaction between Mahito and Sukuna. This was because of Mahito’s technique that can fiddle with souls. Here, Mahito asked Sukuna if he truly lived the way he wanted to. To this, Sukuna responded by saying, “I lived in the only manner I knew.”. After saying this, he expressed how he could’ve taken a different path, a path where he did not have to curse so much.

On hearing this, Mahito was disappointed and pointed out how Sukuna had gone soft. In Sukuna’s defense, he had lost, which ultimately points to how his way of life was wrong. In the end, Mahito was one incorrigible fool who still kept sulking and cursing.

After Sukuna’s little interaction, we got to see every other Jujutsu Sorcerer looking happy. After this, Sukuna’s finger was revealed to be placed in a box in a tiny shrine, where it served no more purpose than a mere talisman. The chapter concluded peacefully with this.
The author’s note thanked all the viewers for reading his work for the past six years. Gege Akutami will be releasing his next work shortly, and volumes 29 and 30 of Jujutsu Kaisen will be released in December.
Did Gojo Return To The Series?
Unfortunately, despite all the hint drops, Gege has played with fans’ hearts yet again. The strongest and most loved character of the series has quite a saddening fate. Gojo’s death wasn’t acknowledged even once after the Shinjuku Showdown arc ended. After several clues were dropped, Gojo still remained dead.
Gege’s hate for Gojo is quite apparent with all of this. After getting murdered brutally, his dead body was desecrated, and finally, any hope of his return was also purged.
