Netflix has released a brand-new Godzilla Singular Point trailer promising plenty of kaiju action in the upcoming anime.
TOHO Animation has broadcast the third and probably the biggest trailer for Godzilla Singular Point. It reveals plenty of new footage, new kaiju, and a revamped Godzilla himself.
The biggest reveal seems to be that not all the monsters are standing with Godzilla. The iconic monster seems to be the aggressive force, enveloped in red whilst under attack from what looks like the Manda. The trailer shows a ton of new footage but still manages to tease audiences with even more questions. The anime will release in Japan’s theatres later this month on March 28, with an international premiere to come later this year.
The first trailer debuted around October 2020, exhibiting the King of the Monsters, along with a few classic kaiju. It worked as a tease, illustrating new iconic Godzilla characters like Rodan and Jet Jaguar.
The second trailer came out last month and mainly filled us in on the plot. The planet is clearly facing something calamitous and Godzilla has everything to do with it.
There is a lot to unload here. Nevertheless, the third trailer has a traditional feel, with Godzilla’s legendary theme playing as he stomps through the street. The trailer really makes it evident that the monsters are much smaller than their movie equivalents, all except for Godzilla.
Jet Jaguar is shown battling Rodan and insect-like beasts, with one of them holding a similarity to Kumonga and Megalon. A blue beast that looks like Hedorah is also shown for a short period. Those wishing for an all-out monster spectacle seem to be in for a treat.
Last week, Pacific Rim: The Black broadcast to solid acknowledgment. Season 2 hasn’t been confirmed yet, but it’s perhaps only a matter of time. Similarly, Godzilla Singular Point is also highly awaited.
