Godzilla went up against Kong when the Legendary Pictures crossover Godzilla Vs. Kong dropped earlier this year. Now, adding to the Godzilla franchise, the anime series Godzilla Singular Point is coming to Netflix this month.
The King of the Monsters’ new anime received a new English dub trailer, ahead of its June release. The English dub version of the trailer was uploaded on the Shonenzup YouTube channel.
Announced back in October 2020, Godzilla Singular Point consists of 13 episodes and will tell a new and original story. Netflix had originally dropped its official trailer in Japanese in April.
The synopsis for Godzilla Singular Point states,
“Brought together by a mysterious song, a grad student and an engineer lead the fight against an unimaginable force that may spell doom for the world.”

Recently, TOHO Animation had also released the anime’s opening and closing themes. The opening title “in case…” was performed by BiSH.
And the closing theme “Aoi” was done by Polkadot Stingray.
The highly anticipated anime is currently airing in Japan with a new episode every week, and the entire first season is going to appear on Netflix once it completes the broadcast run in Japan. The series is set for a global release on June 24 on Netflix.

About Godzilla Singular Point
Godzilla Singular Point is a Japanese animated television series, produced by Toho Company Ltd., Bones, and Orange. It debuted on Netflix Japan on March 25, 2021, and premiered on television on April 1, 2021. Netflix has set its international release for June 24, 2021.
Singular Point is directed by Atsushi Takahashi, written and edited by Toh Enjoe, and features character designs from Kazue Kato. The series is animated by Bones and Orange, and features a hybrid of computer-generated and hand-drawn animation.

The anime series will be set in the Chiba Prefecture in Nigashio City sometime in the year 2030. A “do-it-all shop” by Engineer Yun Arikawa, Otaki Factory, will go investigate a long-thought abandoned house.
On the other hand, Mei Kamino will also be investigating but in her case, it will be about the mysterious signals from the former Tsuguno district’s administrative building, Misakioku.
