God of War’s release on PC was met with overwhelmingly positive response, deeming it as one of the best PC ports of all time. With PC exclusive features such as Ray Tracing, FSR support, UltraWide support, DLSS and much more, the developers behind the port, Jetpack Interactive, did the PC version of God of War justice.
Following the commercial and critical success of God of War’s PC port, Sony has entrusted Jetpack Interactive with developing a live-service title. The live-service title will be based on a flagship Sony IP, as stated by developer Jetpack Interactive on their LinkedIn page.
Additionally, the developers also stated that they continue to work with Sony and Santa Monica Studios on the God of War franchise.
It is possible that Jetpack Interactive is collaborating with Sony and Santa Monica studios to port the much-anticipated God of War Ragnarok to PC.
A PC port of God of War Ragnarok will take time as the game is yet to be released on the PlayStation 4 & 5 consoles on November 9. However, PC players can expect God of War Ragnarok to release on PC in the near future, similar to what Sony did with God of War.
About God of War Ragnarok
God of War Ragnarok is an action-adventure game developed by Santa Monica Studio and published by Sony Interactive Entertainment. It was released on November 9, 2022, for PS4 and PS5.
Ragnarok is the ninth installment in the God of War series, chronologically, and the sequel to 2018’s God of War. Loosely based on Norse mythology, the game is set in ancient Norway and features series protagonists Kratos and his young son Atreus. The events of the game are expected to initiate Ragnarok – a series of events that, according to Norse lore, bring about the end of days and the death of the Norse gods.
