Gleipnir, a Spring 2020 anime was a phantasmagoric addition to the year’s lineup. The show stood out due to its bizarre story and visuals. It was initially boring but eventually left a mark on the audience who now wait for Season 2.

Shuuichi Kagaya is an average high school boy sitting at the last desk by the window. However, he has a weird secret: with no knowledge as to why, he turns into a strange being, a monster of some sort. His secret remains well hidden until one day he saves a classmate, Claire, from a fire, not realizing that he left his phone behind.
The next day Claire confronts him and discovers Shuuichi’s secret ability. The story takes another turn when Shuuichi discovers that Claire has a secret of her own: she had been secretly searching for her sister, who also turned into a monster.
While tracking her sister down, Claire discovers something new about Shuuichi’s monster form, making him act against his will. True to its genre, Gleipnir is a spine-chilling anime for lovers of Seinen anime.
1. Release Date
Gleipnir Season 2 is yet to receive a green light for its production. It hasn’t been too long since Season 1 ended in 2020, so there’s still time till we get another season. We expect Season 2 to release by Fall 2022.
The delay could be because there isn’t enough material in the manga to make a second season yet. Also, the COVID 19 pandemic slowed down the progress of many manga, hence delaying lots of content releases.
2. What To Expect From Season 2
Season 1 of Gleipnir adapts six volumes from its original manga. There are a total of 9 volumes as of now, and the manga is still ongoing. Season 2 will start covering the 7th volume.
In Season 2, we would see Shuuichi, Claire, and Tadanori setting off to inspect the alien spaceship’s crash site responsible for the mess on their planet. They would cross paths with two guardians with special abilities. This battle could be a real challenge for the trio. They would also encounter Kaito, who has the ability to bring back the dead to life. Defeating his army of the dead would also be really difficult and almost impossible for the gang.

The story is based on Shuichi Kagaya, a typical secondary school kid in an exhausting little town.
At this point, a wonderful classmate is trapped in a fire at a distribution center. He finds a puzzling power; he can change into a fuzzy dog with a larger than usual pistol and a zipper down his back.
He saves the young lady’s life, offering his mystery to her. Be that as it may, she’s searching for the sister who executed her family, and she couldn’t care less how corrupting it gets. In essence, she will utilize Shuichi to achieve her crucial goal.
