Girls’ Frontline, the post-apocalyptic world smartphone game, is getting adapted into an anime after receiving much popularity from China. The awesome character designs are also heightening our expectations of the upcoming anime.
Since the game focuses on android girls who can fight in wars, we can estimate that the anime will be action-based. Beautiful women dressed in combat attire and fighting in style, what can you not like about it?
Sunborn Network and Warner Bros will be producing the animated version of the Girls’ Frontline game. Although a confirmed premiere date has not been revealed, the anime will release in 2021.
Some mind-blowing illustrations of the main characters of the anime have been revealed. These illustrations have been drawn by Duoyuanjun, an artist from the original smartphone game team. The illustrations show the characters who belong to the AR (Antirain) Team of the series.

Do not underestimate the girls due to their lovely appearance because they turn into expert combatants when they step into the battlefield. These androids will be fighting for the sake of peace in a world where all hope is lost.
The upcoming anime is not the first time that the series has ventured into a different media. It had also been adapted into a 12-episode short anime series titled Girls’ Frontline: Healing Chapter, which aired from July to December 2019. The second series of shorts was aired from October to December 2020.
Girls’ Frontline: The Song of Dolls is a manga series illustrated by Miharu. It is published online in Chinese by Bilibili and in Japan by the Monthly Comic Rex magazine.
