2. Episode 12 Speculation
In the last preview of the season, we see a joyful atmosphere, which is unusual after how the events of episode 11 rolled out. Shino said she would leave on the first flight the next day. After seeing the preview, we can guess that Saki and the others managed to make her stay and resolve the situation.
We see the group returning home on a flight, but we don’t see Shino with them, which creates confusion as to why she isn’t there after the problems are seemingly resolved. Since it’s the last episode of this season, it is bound to have a happy ending, so stick around to see what happens next.
3. Recap of Episode 11
Right after kissing Naoya, Shino realized what she had just done. She tries to overcome the situation with some excuse, but her mind goes entirely blank. Having no way out, she decides to tell Naoya the truth about her feelings. Before she can confess, she is interrupted by Naoya again.
A while later, Naoya asks if the kiss was an accident, too. Shino initially agrees but soon changes her mind and tells him it wasn’t an accident. She falls unconscious before explaining anything. On the mainland, the other girls are panicking as they can’t find Naoya and Shino anywhere. Mirika comes running to Nagisa, saying someone saw them getting swept away by the waves.
The following day, Naoya examines Shino, only to discover that her fever has increased since last night. He realizes that she is suffering from a heatstroke. Knowing that it would be too risky to leave her here and call for help, he crosses the ocean while carrying her.
As he does this, Shino tells him it’s too dangerous, but Naoya replies that the most important thing is to save Shino now. She needs to be in a hospital as soon as possible, and Naoya will do anything to ensure that happens. As they reach the shore, the two lie there to regain some energy, but SakiSaki finds them.
Seeing the two are perfectly fine, SakiSaki immediately starts crying. She hugs Naoya, saying that she was scared. She says she has no idea what to do if Naoya disappears forever. Out of impulse, she kisses Naoya, and after seeing how much Naoya matters to Saki, Shino changes her mind about confessing.
Back at the villa, after some time while they were chatting, Mirika finds out about Naoya and Saki’s kiss. She throws a tantrum and charges Shino for not stopping them. She pushes the others out of the room to talk with Shino privately, but the latter takes the situation very lightly.
She tells Mirika about everything that happened on the island as she gasps in disbelief. Soon, the others come to the room asking if they want to go out for food, but Shino says she has something important to say. She tells everyone she is going to transfer schools.
After getting no proper explanation for this statement, Saki gets extremely angry and starts fighting with Shino. Their fight ends with Shino running out of the room. Mirika finds her sitting alone and crying by the seashore later. After talking with Mirika, she stops crying and leaves the shore, seemingly unmoved by her decision of transfering schools.
