Recently, Twitter account Comic Buster Hodogaya posted a picture on Thursday that shows the 77th composed book volume of Hideaki Sorachi’s Gintama manga. The photo revealed that the manga is getting a new anime film. The manga volume is shipped on Friday. Besides this, The “Gintama Shirogane Matsuri 2019” event in March had revealed that a new anime for the franchise was in production.
The previous anime premiered on October 2017 and began with the “Porori Arc” story before it entered the “Silver Soul” arc in January 2018. The anime entered paused after episode 353 and later aired on March 2018. The anime then returned as Gintama: Gin no Tamashii Hen (Gintama: Silver Soul Arc) in July 2018, and ended its run in October.
Plot
Gintama is the story of a man named Gintoki who runs a freelance business called Odd Jobs. He is a samurai with no respect for rules and regulations ( vanishing of samurai regiment) set by the invaders. Gintoki is ready to take on pretty much any job to survive. He and his gang are among the very few who have not forgotten the importance and morale of a swordsman. But…wherever they go, all they do is to create troubles.
There are 3 main characters in Gintama-
1. Gintoki Sakata
Gintoki Sakata is the main protagonist of the series. He is a samurai living in an era when samurai are no longer needed. He is recognized by his naturally wavy hair and quite funnily, his sweet tooth. He is a samurai with no respect for rules and regulations ( vanishing of samurai regiment) set by the invaders.
2. Shinpachi Shimura
Shinpachi Shimura is also one of the main protagonists of the series and is a teenager. He is the one who joins Gintoki’s business to learn the ways and techniques of the samurai. He stays at his family’s dojo along with his older sister Tae Shimura.
3. Kagura
Kagura is the female protagonist of the series. She is a young girl who belongs to the Yato Clan. Yato clan is one of the strongest and most bloodthirsty of the clan but Kagura rejects that part of herself. She came to Earth to earn money for her family, and to escape her violent Yato heritage.
