Gibiate Episode 9: Release Date, Preview, Where To Watch

Gibiate is an original Japanese anime television series produced by Yoshitaka Amano and written by Ryō Aoki. The story follows In 2030, Japan. A virus has infected humans throughout the world.

Infected people turn into different forms of monsters based on their ages, sexes, and races. The virus is named “Gibia”—after being rich in variety like gibia. Just then, a pair of samurai and ninja appeared in such a blighted wasteland of Japan.

1. Episode 9 Release Date 

Episode 9 of the Gibiate anime, titled “Until It All Burns Away,” will be released on Wednesday, September 9, 2020, at 6:00 am PDT.

I. Is Gibiate on a Break This Week?

No, episode 9 of the Gibiate anime will be released as per its schedule; thus, no such delay is announced.

The anime comes out weekly every Wednesday.

2. Episode 9 Preview & Speculation 

Episode 9 is titled “Until It All Burns Away.” The preview is not shown at the end of episode 8. 

But in the last few seconds of the episode, we saw that Yukinojo goes off alone to fight the monsters, with the increasing number of monsters around we speculate that he may not be able to come back alive.

Further, in the episode we could see that Yurika who had runaway was in the process of transforming into a Gibia, so chances are that, in the next episode it will be revealed.

3. Recap of Episode 8

Episode 8, titled “Letter of Farewell,” begins with a lizard monster stabbing Yurika on her foot and she falls unconscious, Kanroku destroys the lizard using his weapon.

The doctor said that they can only hope that the sting of the lizard had no poison in it. Kanroku is afraid that Yurika will become infected with Gibia and becomes a monster. Kathleen crew is worried that they failed to protect Yurika from being infected with Gibia.

The doctor orders everyone to rest, while he examines Yurika. Kathleen is worried about her mother if it is the end of her. Gibia is spreading quickly and has killed half of Japan.

Now two members of Kathleen’s crew have been infected and the other one sacrifices himself to protect others. Suddenly Kathleen’s mom sneaks out without anyone seeing her.

Monk, Kanroki, and Ayame went to search for Yurika while Kathleen tries to take care of Sensui who has a high fever. She finds a letter under the pillow where Yurika was sleeping.

Kathleen read the letter in which Yurika apologizes for not being able to stay with Kathleen until the end of her journey. Further, she also mentions that she has lost both of her parents.

She also asks Kathleen to not worry because she has Sensui, Kenroku, Yukinojo, and Ayame with her. She also promised that the doctor will find a vaccine for Gibia illness.

Yurika promises that if she does not get infected with Gibia she will come back to Kathleen. Yukinojo comes back and finds Kathleen crying for her mother and consoles her. 

Later the monsters try to destroy the building that Kathleen is with others. At the end of the episode, we see that Yukinojo goes out alone to fight off the monsters and lets Kathleen take care of Sensui.

He says that he is willing to fight and die for the people he loves.
