Gibiate is an original Japanese anime television series produced by Yoshitaka Amano and written by Ryō Aoki.
In the previous episode, as the group plans to find a haven and begins their journey to Niigata, they are reunited with their faithful weapons from 1600 century Japan at a samurai exhibition.
Soon after fighting monstrous Gibia, Sensui tires himself out and falls unconscious, but on the road, our survivors get ambushed again!

1. Episode 5 Release Date
Episode 5 of the Gibiate anime, titled “Evil vs. Bushido,” will be released on Wednesday, August 12, 2020.
In the next episode, Kenroku and Yukinojyo protect the group against the monstrous Gibia army!
I. Is Gibiate on a Break This Week?
No, episode 5 of the Gibiate anime will be released as per its schedule; thus, no such delay is announced.
The anime comes out weekly every Wednesday.
2. Episode 5 Preview & Speculation
The preview for Episode 5 was not shown at the end of episode 4.
Titled ” Evil vs. Bushido,” we expect to watch Kenroku and Yukinojyo battle against the dragon-like Gibia attacking form the air along with the lizard army crawling towards them on the bridge.
With Sensui out cold and recovering from the previous fight, the group is heavily outnumbered and fear they may die on the site before reaching their destination!
Even with an upgrade in weapons, will they defeat the Gibia army or get overpowered?
The search for an antivirus has been put on hold, but we hope that no lives will be sacrificed in the next episode!
3. Recap of Episode 4
I. Reunion with their Weapons!
Episode 4, titled “Danger Zone,” begins with Funada’s recording, she talks about her childhood and hopes for the getting by in the Gibia attacks.
Adam fights against a Gibia and learns that it was his friend Brian but has to kill him.
Funada’s mother goes missing, and the group splits up to find her and gather supplies for their trip to Niigata.
Yurika sees a samurai exhibit containing Sensui’s katana Suigetsumaru and his western sword, Halbert, while Yukinojyo recovers his spiked club, Douzan.
They suddenly come under attack by lizard-like Gibia, but after fighting their way outside, they find more waiting for them on the ground and others flying in the air.
II. Call it Bad Timing
Sensui, Kenroku, and Yukinojyo cut a path through the monsters and meet up with Adam and Yoshinaga.
Adam shoots down the dragon-like Gibia, and they escape in the camping van; however, Sensui exhausts himself and needed rest.
The group chats among themselves, and as talk turns to the past, Kenroku recalls when he first met Sensui nicknamed “Slayer of Thousands,” during the Battle of Sekigahara in Kyoto.
They were on opposing sides and had a duel, which leads to them recognizing each other as rivals, but due to the vagaries of war, they were both exiled together.
In the present, due to the tire puncture, the Gibia notice them, so to protect the group Kenroku and Yukinojyo set out for the fight!

In 2030, Japan, a virus, has infected humans throughout the world.
Infected people turn into different forms of monsters based on their ages, sexes, and races.
The virus is named “Gibia”—after being rich in variety. Just then, a pair of samurai and ninja appear in such a blighted wasteland of Japan.
They both traveled from the early Edo period, fighting together with help from a doctor who tries to find a cure for Gibia.
