“Prepare to scream!” says Total Film Magazine’s caption with Ghostface gracing the cover of their latest issue. Our love for magazines might run low, but we’re very close to getting our hands on the Scream’s villain.
The next issue of Total Film Magazine shows the masked killer in two new creepy poses with his favorite knife. We can’t help but feel the tension and intensity with which the killer would like to pounce on us right from the cover.
As Ghostface covers the magazine, there’s another treat (or trick?) Total Film is offering. A star-studded interview with Scream’s cast, especially Neve Campbell, Courteney Cox, David Arquette, Jack Quaid, Melissa Barrera, and Kevin Williamson.
Check out the covers below:
However, we can’t help but wonder if Ghostface is one of the interviewees themselves? Long shot, yes. But what if? The teaser previously released also hinted at a known face being the killer, after all.
The unlimited sneak-peeks the magazine would provide fans might tone down their disappointment a bit while hopefully giving them enough meat to fuel their theories.
Scream, to be released in 2022, will see multiple old characters returning to the web of deadly murders and dangerous, complicated investigations. Campbell’s Sidney Prescott, Arquette’s Sheriff Dewey Riley, and Cox’s Gale Weathers will join hands to help Sam Carpenter, played by Melissa Barrera.
The trailer for Scream is filled with jump-scares, Sidney jogging with a cram before Riley calls him up with, “It’s happening. Three attacks so far”. If the title disappointed fans, the terrifying trailer with a good amount of Ghostface wielding his knife left, right and center, is enough to excite them.
The mystery surrounding the masked killer, the victims, and Sam’s deadly secret will be released exclusively in theaters on January 14, 2021.
