One of the Playstation’s OG mascots, Crash Bandicoot is finally coming to the PC. The iconic marsupial got a remake in 2017 and a brand new game a whole decade after the release of Crash Bandicoot Nitro Kart back in 2010.
Crash Bandicoot 4: It’s About Time received overall positive reviews upon release, making a worthy sequel to the long-standing brand of Crash. While Activision has always been slow with mascot-oriented games, there was no info that it would be arriving on PC, until now.
The confirmation was put out in the form of a press release, stating that along with the PC, the title would also be made available on the PS5, Series X and the Nintendo Switch. For the PC version, the game will be released exclusively through Battle.net, but we’ll have to wait much longer for a concrete release date.
It’s quite likely though that the release will be sometime this year and it will sport all the latest trimmings as required by next-gen titles, i.e. 4K resolutions and at least 60fps.
Players were quick to praise Crash Bandicoot 4: It’s About Time as a worthy homage to the ‘difficulty’ of ‘90s platformers while offering some very required quality of life improvements. While you won’t be able to join Crash on his latest adventure right at this moment, it’s sure to be worth the wait.
