Fans of Genshin Impact are being constantly treated to new content arriving in the coming seasons by the proactive leakers. The latest leak comes as a general layout of the upcoming region.
With developers HoYoVerse holding back on most information about version 4.0 set in the Fontaine region, prominent leaker @vississ01 on Twitter has revealed details related to Fontaine, mentioning that it is a large area located in the center of Tevyat, located north of Vanarana.
It was mentioned that a large body of water northeast of Fontaine City is set to be connected to the city by a river. It remains to be known if the river is natural or artificial.
Based on previously known information from discussions about Fontaine’s mechanical technology, the advanced technology will feature and have a mechanical style from the previous century.
Moving westwards would be more land with mountainous regions as well. The leaker mentioned that it remains unknown “whether there are underground water areas or hollow mountains.”
One important thing to remember is that the players would be moving from the 3.6 map area to the countryside. This is similar to what we saw with the move to Sumeru’s Gandharva Ville.
From the countryside, the players will head to central Fontaine City. An earlier leak had suggested that Fontaine would be a heavily steampunk-esque city. This would keep with the current leak suggesting that it features a mechanical style from the previous century.
While more and more ver 4.0 content has been leaked recently, players must remember that version 3.8, arriving soon, also has quite a bit of content to offer.
Ver 3.8 brings its own new limited-time island region for its main event. This is similar to what we got as the Golden Apple Archipelago. Another region, Mondstadt, has also been teased heavily.
It is expected that locations in Mongstadt, like Dornman Port and the border to Snezhnaya, leaked earlier will be present in the expansion once ver 3.8 releases.
Fans of Genshin Impact are having a great time with a good amount of content, both in the form of official announcements and leaks hinting towards a promising future for the game as Fontaine launches later this year.
