Genius Invokation is a brand new TCG that has been introduced in Genshin Impact. It is filled with characters that many of us are already familiar with.
As of now, there are almost 21 different playable character cards and six monster cards. You can earn character cards by dueling characters at the Cat’s Tail tavern.
We can also expect the game to expand and add many more characters. Since the addition is fairly new, many players are not really sure about the cards to focus on and choose.
So here’s a small simple list of the cards available and their ranking to make your job easier.
Genshin Impact TCG cards can be classified into four tiers based on their power and usefulness. C-tier cards are situational and not recommended. B-tier is a little better but is still difficult to use. A-tier and S-tier cards are the ones you should go after.
1. C-Tier
Let’s start the list with the lowest tier. The character cards of C-tier are not very powerful and might only work in very particular scenarios where everything is perfectly set up.
However, these cards can be easily rendered useless and are best avoided!
Character | Energy Cost | Best Feature |
Barbara | 3 | Good healing ability |
Diona | 3 | Can heal and shield |
Jean | 3 | Can force character switch with Skill. |
Mirror Maiden | 2 | Low-cost Burst |
Stoneskin Lawachurl | 2 | Can deal great damage |
B-Tier
B-Tier Character cards are actually pretty good and can be useful. However, they only work in certain situations, and creating those situations can be a little bothersome. The rewards don’t exactly correlate with the amount of work you put in.
Character | Energy Cost | Best Feature |
Kaeya | 2 | Easy-to-cast support |
Sucrose | 2 | Great swirl potential |
Ningguang | 3 | Great DPS potential |
Razor | 3 | Great Regeneration |
Jadeplume Terrorshroom | 2 | Can deal with Burst damage |
A-Tier
The A rank in the Genshin Impact TCG tier list has adaptable characters with great abilities. They can be great if properly utilized. However, they lack a little when compared to S-Tier Character cards.
Character | Energy Cost | Best Feature |
Xingqiu | 2 | Strong Burst Damage |
Bennett | 2 | Great Healing |
Chongyun | 3 | Powerful Burst and easy Cryo infusion |
Yoimiya | 3 | Great Regeneration |
Fischl | 3 | Can summon Oz for 2 turns |
Noelle | 2 | Shield and Heal |
Collei | 2 | The only Dendro Enabler |
Maguu Kenki | 3 | Can do Cryo and Anemo Summon |
Diluc | 3 | Strong Pyro Damage |
S-Tier
S-Tier Character cards are easy to use, powerful, and not situational, unlike the other groups. The characters are extremely useful and are great at multiple things. These are the strongest cards and are highly recommended to build your deck with!
Character | Energy Cost | Best Feature |
Kamisato Ayaka | 3 | Easy Cryo Infusion, can do a lot of damage |
Ganyu | 2 | Best AoE Hitter |
Mona | 3 | Powerful Burst and easy switch |
Keqing | 3 | Deadly AoE Burst |
Xiangling | 2 | Can summon Guoba for 2 turns |
Fatui Pyro Agent | 2 | Both offensive and defensive abilities |
Disclaimer!
Remember that the game is relatively new and is still developing. The cards may be updated and the abilities might change.
This list is only temporary and can help you get started. You need to build the deck based on your strategies and the usefulness might differ based on your gameplay.
