Version 3.8 of Genshin Impact is out now. However, players of the game are more hyped about version 4.0’s region – Fontaine and the substantial leaks they’re getting ahead of its launch.
As posted on the Genshin Impact Leaks subreddit by u/No-Lifeguard4399, fans have now seen the Hydro Traveler and the ability kit. This was initially leaked by reputed leakers Mero and Blednaya.
Diving deeper into the stats, the Normal and Charged Attacks for the Traveler’s Sword are unchanged. This is following tradition and is as expected.
The interesting thing noted was the new Aquacrest Saber that will allow the Traveler to become an equivalent of a machine gun. This, however, comes at the cost of HP.
The new Elemental Skill will unleash a wave of water upon enemies. Holding the Elemental Skill for up to six seconds will make the Traveler continuously pellet enemies with dewdrops.
The new elemental burst, called Rising Waters, is quite similar to a slow-moving variant of the Elemental Burst from Anemo Traveler’s Kit.
To replenish the health drained by using the Aquacrest Saber, Hydro Travelers will be able to restore HP with every Sourcewater Droplet collected.
Sourcewater Droplets spawn by using the Hold Version of the Aquacrest Saber on hitting the enemy.
A combination is also available with the Aquacrest Saber. It can interact with the new Spiritsbreath mechanic. Given the themes of duality in Fontaine in the form of class struggle, Spiritsbreath fits the bill.
It remains to be seen how exactly the new mechanic will influence combat in the Fontaine region or if it will find its way to the Spiral Abyss in Genshin world.
Players expect the new upcoming Pyro and Dendro users Lynette, Lyney, Freminet and Hydro Traveler to cross paths in one form or the other.
The strength of the Hydro Traveler in Genshin Impact’s Fontaine region cannot be assessed accurately yet. However, on paper, the Hydro Traveler has one of the most unique skill sets in the game.
