Genshin Impact Version 4.7 is finally live on May 6, 2024; with that, one of the most anticipated characters in Fontaine has been released. Yes, the champion duelist of Fontaine, Clorinde, is now available.
Clorinde is a five-star electro on-field DPS character that utilizes BOND OF LIFE mechanics. She can be used in multiple teams alongside Dendro. However, her playstyle might be a bit difficult for some players.
Don’t worry; we will explain everything about her, including the best artifacts, weapons, and teams. Without further ado, let’s dive right into it.
Artifacts
Clorinde is an Electro Sword user that deals electro-infused normal attack damage. Her DPS greatly depends on BOND OF LIFE (BOL), much like Arlecchino.
The Fragment of the Harmonic Whimsy will be her best artifact set, as it provides major buffs based on BOL. The 2-pc set provides an 18% ATK bonus, and the 4-pc provides a 54% damage bonus when BOL increases or decreases.
However, there are some other alternatives that we have listed below.
Artifacts | 2-pc Bonus | 4-pc Bonus |
Thundering Fury | Electro DMG Bonus +15% | Increases damage caused by Overloaded, Electro-Charged, Superconduct, Hyperbloom, and Aggravate. |
Gladiator’s Finale | ATK +18% | If the wielder of this artifact set uses a Sword, Claymore, or Polearm, increases their Normal Attack DMG by 35%. |
Marechaussee Hunter | Normal and Charged Attack DMG +15%. | When current HP increases or decreases, CRIT Rate will be increased by 12% for 5s. Max 3 stacks. |
Mixed Artifacts | Any attack, electro damage bonus, or normal attack set. | – |
A 4-star artifact Instructor is a great option if you are a new player . The 4-pc bonus is great as it increases the Elemental Mastery of the party members by 120 whenever a reaction is triggered.
Stat Priority
After deciding which artifacts to use, your next priority is to focus on the main and sub-stats. Like any other main DPS character, she needs a good CRIT ratio (atleast 60:140).
She also needs a good amount of ATK, around 1500-2000, and some Elementary Mastery (if used in Dendro teams). Refer to the table below for a better understanding.
Artifact Piece | Main Stat | Sub Stat Priority |
Sands | ATK %/ EM (Situational) | CRIT Rate/ DMG ATK% Elemental Mastery (EM) Energy Recharge % |
Goblet | Electro Damage Bonus (Always) | |
Circlet | CRIT Rate/ DMG |
Note: She gets a 5% base CRIT Rate, 19% from her Ascension, and 20% from her Passive, making a total of approx 45% CRIT Rate. Make sure you don’t overcap.
Weapons
A rule of any gacha game is that a five-star weapon will mostly outperform a four-star weapon. For Clorinde, there are many five-star options, but her signature weapon, Absolution, is the best suited for her.
The weapon provides her with a very high Base ATK (674) and a massive amount of CRIT DMG (44.1 and 20 from passive). It also increases the character’s damage by 48% when BOL increases.
Other Five-star Weapons
Weapon | Base ATK | Sub Stat |
Mistsplitter Reforged | 674 | 44.1% CRIT DMG |
Light of Foliar Incision | 542 | 88.2 CRIT DMG |
Haran Geppaku Futsu | 608 | 33.1 CRIT Rate |
Uraku Misugiri | 542 | 88.2 CRIT DMG |
Clorinde’s Best Four-Star Weapon is F2P
If we talk about 4* options, there aren’t many. But the good news is Fontaine’s craft able weapon, Finale of the Deep, is her best Free-to-Play option.
The weapon can be easily refined, providing some great buffs. It has a base ATK of 565 with an additional 27.6 ATK%. It also provides additional BOL and ATK after a character uses an Elemental Skill, perfectly matching Clorinde’s Kit.
Talent
This is the most crucial part of Clorinde’s gameplay. Although the talent description is quite detailed, we will help you understand it.
Even though she uses Normal Attack to deal damage, her actual damage comes from her Elemental Skill and Passive. So, you can ignore her basic attacks and prioritize her Elemental Skill and Burst.
Elemental Skill
- She enters the “Night Vigil” state, where her pistol’s normal attacks are infused with electro.
- Gets BOL upto 100% of her max HP. If her BOL is less than 100% (100% BOL means half of her health bar will be covered with BOL)
- Normal attacks deal more damage and pierce through enemies when her BOL is less than or equal to 100%.
- She clears 100% BOL after using her Skill again.
- Skill deals more damage when BOL is greater or equal to 100%.
Elemental Burst
- Deals 5 instances of damage and grants BOL.
Passive 1
- Increases normal attack damage by 60% when any character triggers an electro-reaction.
Passive 2
- Boosts CRIT Rate by 20% when her BOL changes. External healing is fully converted to BOL.
Based on the provided information and after testing out the character, it is recommended that you prioritize her Elemental Skill first, at least up to level 8. Following this, you should focus on leveling her Elemental Burst to at least level 7. These two abilities are crucial for maximizing her damage output, so you can afford to neglect her basic attacks.
Teams
Clorinde’s best team consists mostly of dendro, hydro, and anemo characters. However, there are many possibilities for new and fun teams. We have listed the top five teams that you can try with Clorinde.
