According to the recent livestream, Genshin Impact 5.0 will bring a plethora of new activities for players to enjoy. From the new region, characters, and events to celebrate the game’s 4th anniversary, version 5.0 is poised to be filled with surprises.
1. When will Genshin Impact Version 5.0 be released?
Genshin Impact Version 5.0 will be released on Wednesday, August 28, 2024. The game will follow the usual maintenance schedule and be released in the respective time zones.

2. All the events in Genshin Impact 5.0
2.1 Traces of Artistry
Traces of Artistry is the flagship event in Genshin Impact 5.0. During this event, players will explore Natlan and play various mini-games to obtain rewards.
There will be four mini-games-
- Harvestable: Collect Natlan’s local specialties
- Photograph: Click pictures of Natlan’s wildlife
- Show of Strength: Fight enemies
- Harmonious Whole: Transform into a saurian and collect coins within the time limit (Genshin Version of Subway Surfers)
Rewards- Exclusive 4-star Catalyst and its refinement materials, Primogems, Mora, Weapon level-up materials, Crown of Insight, Sanctifying Unction, and Enhancement Ore.
2.2 Of Thorns and Crowns
Of Thorns and Crowns is a new combat event in Version 5.0 where you must eliminate as many enemies as possible within the time limit to earn a high score and receive rewards.
Rewards- Primogems, Mora, Hero’s Wit, Weapon level-up materials, Crown of Insight, Sanctifying Unction, and Enhancement Ore.
2.3 Mementos of Teyvat
This event is very similar to the Outside the Canvas event, and players will need to use the event Kamera to click pictures in various locations throughout Teyvat.
Rewards- Primogems, Mora, and Hero’s Wit.
2.4 Dodoco’s Boom-Bastic Escapades
Dodoco’s Boom-Bastic Escapades is a tabletop game in which players blow some fish using the given bombs within a limited time.
Rewards- Primogems, Mora, Hero’s Wit, Weapon level-up materials, and Enhancement Ores.
2.5 Gift for a New Horizon: A Thank-You Gift
Gift for a New Horizon: A Thank-You Gift will be the event held to celebrate Genshin’s 4th anniversary. Players will receive in-game mail rewards, including 1,600 Primogems, 1 Sanctifying Elixir, exclusive gadgets, and more!
Make sure to log in and claim the rewards between September 28, 2024, and the end of Version 5.0.
2.6 “Brilliant Dawn” Daily Login Event
The Brilliant Dawn event starts on August 30, 2024, and ends on September 18, 2024. You can get 10 Intertwined Fates, Mora, and EXP Materials as daily login rewards during this event.
2.7 Quest to Kindle Ancient Flames
A Quest to Kindle Ancient Flames is an event celebrating the 2024 Anniversary of Genshin Impact. Players can choose and claim one free 5-star character from the Wanderlust Invocation banner during this event. This character invitation chance will be available from August 28, 2024, until October 08, 2024.
3. New characters in Genshin Impact 5.0
Mulani, Kachina, and Kinich are the new characters that will be released in Genshin Impact 5.0.
Mulani is a 5-star Hydro Catalyst user who will debut in phase 1 alongside Kazuha. The 4-star character Kachina will also be available in the same banner. Kinich is a 5-star Dendro Claymore character who will debut in phase 2 alongside Raiden Shogun.
