Genshin Impact’s developer miHoYo is making efforts towards fixing the Resin problem in the game. In a recent developer FAQ, the company addressed the queries regarding the demand for more Original Resin and said it would be making some changes in the upcoming patch 1.3.
It is no secret that many players have complaints regarding the allocation of Resin in Genshin Impact. It is a precious in-game resource that helps players with end-game activities.
Accumulating the precious resource takes a lot of real-world time, but it gets utilized in an instant. There have been minor fixes here and there, but nothing significant has been done by miHoYo yet. However, according to the recent Developer FAQ, players may get a chance to accumulate more Resin in the 1.3 updates.
According to miHoYo, in version 1.3, all events that do not require challenging Ley Line Outcrops or Domains would not consume Original Resin. And, the Battle Passes would have additional Fragile Resin rewards.
As mentioned in the Developer FAQ, with the new version 1.3, events that do not involve challenging Ley Lines or Domains would not consume the player’s Original Resin. The developers have also mentioned that the majority of future events would not consume Original Resin as well.
Regarding the prospect for Resin with the Battle Pass, miHoYo announced that they would be adding Fragile Resin rewards to Sojourner’s Battle Pass and Gnostic Hymn. So, the players would get one Fragile Resin per ten levels, starting from Level 5.
It would replace the Mystic Enhancement Ores initially present at Level 5. However, the players would still get the same amount of those materials through the Battle Pass.
Although the upcoming updates do not act as a fix for the Resin situation, they still provide players with additional opportunities to earn more of the precious stamina currency. It is a step in the right direction and shows that miHoYo at least recognizes the issue.
While there is still time for Genshin Impact 1.3, hardcore fans have already been sharing leaks regarding the new update, like the footage of the next five-star banner character, Xiao.
