As we come closer to the year’s final quarter, everyone is gearing up for the various game awards for 2021. We now finally have the Gamescom 2021 Award nominees list, and the categories consist of different best games across platforms and genres.
They also include the best announcements and trailers we have seen so far, along with the industry’s biggest streamers, institutions, and companies via the Heart of Gaming award.
Sony, just like with E3, will be absent from Gamescom 2021, but we have confirmed appearances from Xbox, Activision, EA, Bethesda, Konami, Mediatonic, and several other developers.
When it comes to the games, we can expect to see the upcoming fighting game Sifu, a Dying Light 2 parkour mechanics focused showcase, the world premiere of Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Shredder’s Revenge, a new look at Lego Star Wars: The Skywalker Saga, and what seems to be a Saints Row reboot.
Among the list of nominees, we have the much-hyped and awaited From Software’s Elden Ring. Considering it has made it onto the list, we might even get to see some fresh gameplay.
