Even though I am a hardcore Godzilla fan, I really think that the Gamera series is one of a kind and that it deserves a much-needed comeback. Well, the previously announced ‘Gamera: Rebirth’ seems just right for the series’ next feature after so long, and I’m really hoping that it is made with care and passion.
The information that was revealed for the series included cast, staff, key visuals, the six-episode count, and that it would be streamed by streaming giant Netflix, but today we got some more updates regarding the historical series. Yes, you heard it right. So, let’s get into the nitty-gritty of it.
After revealing the pictures of the first two kaiju, Kadokawa unveiled Zigra, the third kaiju that will appear in the Gamera -Rebirth- anime. In the upcoming anime, Zigra will battle Gamera alongside Gyaos, Jiger, and two other kaiju.
Zigra is an alien creature hailing from a distant planet where fish feed on people. Zigra traveled to Earth in a spaceship with the intent of destroying Gamera and enslaving the human race.
