Far Cry 6 offers players a whole new environment with a wide range of hidden quests called Yaran stories. These quests in Far Cry 6 involve traveling throughout various locations on the map to find secret objectives, one of which is Paint the Town Red.
To unlock this sidequest in Far Cry 6, you’ll have to complete the main story operation Paradise Lost and the Yaran story Heavy Metal. Once playable, start the quest by meeting Zenia Zayas in the Mercurio Mecanico Guerrilla hideout near the West Lado portion of the map.

Why do you need to deface Gabriel statues in Far Cry 6?
In Far Cry 6, it is essential to deface Gabriel statues in Esperanza to fulfill the dying wish of Zenia Zayas’s father, Elisio Zayas, as a form of protest against the dictator Anton Castillo.
As part of the storyline, the statues of the former president, Gabriel Castillo, have signified propaganda that has helped his son Anton become El Presidente. Remember, vandalizing Gabriel statues will eventually become a necessary milestone in the journey of liberating the Republic of Yara.
How can you deface the Gabriel statues in Far Cry 6?
In Far Cry 6, to deface a Gabriel statue, you need to approach it and press the prompted button, the E key on PC, and the Square/X button on PlayStation/Xbox. As a result, your character, Dani, will spray graffiti all over the statue.
Try not to shoot at the statue or blow it up as it may attract enemies. Since Esperanza will be heavily guarded, use the secret Guerrilla paths marked with blue lines on your map to navigate the streets, especially to cross a military checkpoint.
Once you’ve defaced the twelfth statue, you’ll get a call from Zenia Zayas, and she’ll thank you. It’ll mark the completion of the quest Paint the Town Red, as the reward of which you’ll receive 100 XPs, an orange paint bucket charm, and Zenia will get reinstated as a Los Bandidos leader.
