Futoku no Guild is about an exceptional monster hunter Kikuru who wishes to retire but ends up training a bunch of useless newbies.
After attending a friend’s wedding, Kikuru realizes that he’s missed out a lot during his teens and fears the same will happen in his youth. To protect his prime years from going to waste, Kikuru decided to retire, only to accept a request that made his life even more chaotic.
Taichi Kawazoe’s epic comedy manga Futoku no Guild has an anime adaptation in the works, scheduled for an October 2022 release. The anime’s staff has revealed a new teaser previewing the main characters.
The trailer has a deceitful start, showing Kikuru and Hitamu Kyan facing off with a monster in a tense environment. Why’s it deceitful, though? Because Kyan knows absolutely nothing about beating monsters and always gets caught in their trap.
Following this, the video introduces other characters like the self-proclaimed genius Maidena Angers, the lazy Tokishikko Dana, the knight Hanabata Nohkins, and the elf Noma Rune.
Soon, the truth is revealed that none of these girls are skilled hunters and consistently get caught by monsters who put them in compromising positions. Kikuru’s dream of retiring peacefully is shattered when he sees no one is good enough to become his successor and protect the guild.

Although the series is primarily an ecchi comedy, it does pack a lot of action that will give you goosebumps. You can’t expect anything less from a world-class hunter, right?
