It is challenging for otakus to wait for their favourite anime to premiere after it has been announced and piqued their interest with promotional content.
They get teased with key visuals and promotional videos, but what everyone truly wants is a glimpse of the show they have been waiting for.
Deca-Dence and By the Grace of the Gods are highly anticipated animes slated to premiere in July and October respectively.
Funimation had announced on Tuesday that it would debut Deca-Dence’s first episode slated to release on July 8 and the first episode of By the Grace of the Gods slated to premiere in October in the FunimationCon 2020 virtual anime convention on July 3.
Running for two days, July 3 and July 4 this upcoming convention will feature panels and premieres for many of Funimation’s major series which will come out this year.
It will also debut the first two episodes of season two of Fire Force’s English dub.
The virtual anime convention will screen Deca-Dence on Friday at 4:30 p.m. EDT, alongside commentary from director Yuzuru Tachikawa and Studio NuT producer Takuya Tsunoki. It is a dystopian sci-fi anime that will premiere in Japan on July 8 at 11:30 p.m. on AT-X.
It will also preview By the Grace of the Gods, an Isekai genre anime slated to premiere in October 2020 on Friday at 11:30 p.m. EDT.
Along with these two animes, it will stream two English dubbed episodes of the highly anticipated second season of Fire Force.
Funimation described the lineup for the anime convention as:

Funimation, in collaboration with Sony Music Labels Inc., will feature special programs from music guests BLUE ENCOUNT, FLOW, KANA-BOON, Luna Haruna, and a DJ performance by DJ MarGenal, as well as a special airing of the 2019 SACRA MUSIC Festival.
FunimationCon 2020 is gathering popular cosplay personalities Yaya Han, Riddle, Phil Mizuno, Dressesandcapes, Alicia Marie, and Stella Chuu; plus new home video releases and merchandise available to purchase in The Funimation Shop.”
