Funimation subscribers looking to switch to Crunchyroll can easily transfer their account while keeping their watch history and queue intact. Additionally, users with a Crunchyroll account with the same email address as their Funimation account can merge the two accounts.
With this merger, anime fans can enjoy many movies and shows. However, one downside is that digital DVD or Blu-ray content copies will no longer be available.
Unfortunately, Crunchyroll does not currently support Funimation Digital copies, meaning that access to previously available digital copies can no longer be supported.
It’s important to note that individuals who have already purchased digital copies will no longer have access to them. Currently, no information is available regarding whether or not refunds will be offered to those who will be losing access.
This news has caused much frustration among fans. Adding to the flames is the increase in subscription rates. Crunchyroll may release more information to appease their fan base, but we can only wait and see for now.
