We’ve all seen Tatsuya Shiba’s perspective, but now it’s the prodigy Miyuki Shiba’s time to shine. The Honor Student at Magic High School is the spin-off every Miyuki fan has been waiting for.
The show gives a whole new perspective to the original show’s plot and the peculiar relationship between the Shiba siblings. It started broadcasting in July 2021, and we finally have an English dub version too.
Funimation started streaming English dubbed episodes of The Honor Student at Magic High School on August 28, 2021.

The Irregular at Magic High School, the original show, became a massive success among weebs around the world. It’s only natural that the spin-off centered on one of the most popular characters would get the same hype.
The original show’s plot revolved around Tatsuya who was born with uncontrollable destructive powers that had to be subdued. He was made to swear that he will forever protect Miyuki who was a powerful magician and a natural prodigy.
The siblings enrolled at one of the magic high schools. Miyuki got into the prestigious and superior Course 1 while Tatsuya was selected into the inferior Course 2.
This angered Miyuki who then resolved to protect her brother and prove to everyone what a powerful genius he really is.
Miyuki has always been a fan favorite for her soft personality, looks, capabilities, and immense magical prowess. The show is based on her perspective and feelings towards her brother Tatsuya.
We all know how much Miyuki is devoted to her brother, which may put off some people, but this show explains why Miyuki acts that way. The siblings’ relationship has always been questioned, and the show provides a clearer picture to the fans.

About The Irregular at Magic High School
The Irregular at Magic High School is based on a web novel series by Tsutomu Sato, published on an internet web novel website between 2008 and 2011.
The series is set in a world with an alternate history, where magic exists and has been polished through modern technology. However, the ability to use magic is determined by genetics, limiting the number of magicians in existence.
The story follows Tatsuya Shiba, a bodyguard to his sister Miyuki Shiba who is also a candidate to succeed in the leadership of the Yotsuba clan, one of the Ten Master Clans that govern Japan’s magicians.
They enroll into First High School which segregates its students based on their magical abilities. Miyuki is enrolled as a first course student and is viewed as one of the best students, while Tatsuya is in the second course and considered to be magically inept.
