Episode 13 Recap
After discovering Eko being bullied by several kids, Fushi defends her. She had cooked Fushi a supper, but it was appalling. Bon’s immortal friends and Fushi went to investigate the city’s water supply, which had various openings.
This posed a threat since they needed to be closed off or fortified with metal barriers because they could serve as Nokkers access points. As a result, Bon led the citizens in starting construction on the project.
Kahaku was getting apprehensive as Fushi continued to work without pause. Fushi agreed to take the night off at his request. However, Kahaku had been duped because Fushi sent a clone to seem to be sleeping since he worked at night.
Eko tried to share the workload and try to do her part as well. At this point, she learned that the city’s water was contaminated and tracked out the cause. The water source was fixed after she brought this to the people’s attention. Eko afterward invited Fushi to supper. He then understood that earlier poor water quality had made Eko’s food taste terrible.
As he needed to begin work on the palace walls, Fushi was nearly finished reconstructing the homes. He needed Messar’s assistance, though, because he could only accomplish this in secret. Messar persuaded Princess Arume to extend the Founding Day celebration to a whole week.
Due to Kamu asking Fushi for assistance over the week to impress a girl, Fushi messed up and displayed his regenerative abilities. As a result, the populace began to suspect the Wise Man and thought he was Fushi. They decided to confront him and got a close-up look at his abilities, including his ability to create walls and structures out of thin air.
After getting tired of hiding, Fushi announced his identity as the immortal and stated his resolve to defend the city. When Kamu reminded them of how Fushi had helped them and their families just as they would protest against him, everyone changed their minds and accepted him, standing in a pose that signifies loyalty.
